In its continual effort to be a leader in Web 2.0 services, Google is engaged in talks with large content companies such as Dow Jones & Co. Inc., Conde Nast and Sony BMG Music Entertainment to syndicate content onto other websites.
The content of such companies would appear inside Google ad boxes, which Google would then place on relevant sites.
The deal would include a shared ad revenue system, with funds being shared between the content provider, the website and Google.
Despite other companies attempting similar deals, the leader in search seems to have the upper hand on such experiments due to its broad reach throughout the internet landscape.
