More and more online purchases are being influenced by reviews from other customers.
The 'Social Shopping Study 2007' bij PowerReviews and the E-tailing Group shows that 8 out of 10 customers who struggle to choose between several options are guided by reviews.
Two thirds of the online buyers use the experience of others before making a purchase online.
The vast majority (78%) of consumers who use reviews before buying online spend 10 minutes reading opinions of others Eighty five percent of the research participants considered these reviews to be helpful.
Twelve hundred American internet users have participated in the research. To qualify for this study the participants had to have bought a minimum of 4 products with a total value of at least $500.
